You’re Invited

Remember Amy’s tea party baby shower? One of my favorite parts of preparing for the party was addressing the invitations!

I’ve been practicing working with my calligraphy pens quite a bit lately, especially on addressing envelopes. I absolutely love receiving beautifully addressed stationery in the mail. For me, it makes something feel instantly special. For this reason, I put a lot of energy into selecting and addressing our letterpress wedding invitations (shameless plug: we worked with Constellation & Co. and we loved them!). It made me so happy when people commented on how excited they were to open their pretty envelopes. Mission accomplished!

Anyway, I wanted that same vibe for Amy’s party. I mean, how often do we get to go to a fancy tea party? I wanted all of her friends and family to feel like the day would be beautiful and special before they even arrived.

The soft rhythmic scratching of the calligraphy nib on paper is pretty addicting, so I’m sure I’ll be back at this again soon…hopefully better each time!

Thank you so much! I am totally that annoying girl at the post office who asks to see ALL the stamps…I don’t want to miss out on the prettiest ones, you know. 🙂
