That’s a Wrap

July 10, 2015

My craft room is getting quite the workout with all the cards I’ve been making recently for my friend’s new baby, Father’s Day, and most recently, my mom’s birthday!

I love, love, love both of the World Market wrapping papers (see here and here) my mom used for my birthday gifts back in April so much, I just couldn’t bear to throw the pieces away after I opened those presents. My mom suggested I save it for some card making (she grossly underestimates her crafty genius), so I decided to do just that…for her birthday! As a nice little surprise, I also discovered some of the paper was the perfect size for her birthday gift, so a little recycling was most definitely in order.

P.S. Did you notice my plants from this post are still alive (and growing)?! I’m so surprised, I don’t even know what to do with myself.

I also got a chance to play around with those calligraphy pens a bit more…

Now that I see all this fun potential, I’ll definitely be holding onto more beautiful wrapping paper in the future — even if it means opening gifts with a tad bit less gusto. 🙂 Thanks for the great idea, Mom!

That’s a wrap on this week. Is anyone planning to create something beautiful and/or tasty this weekend? Share your ideas in the comments below!
